My series of birds I painted for an advanced painting class at UHCL. I was working on the owl when Hurricane Ike decided to come crashing through Galveston. I was sure it was going to be ruined after receiving numerous calls from the school saying the buildings were hit pretty hard. We could finally return to class after a couple of weeks and there he was sitting there against the window, untouched. I was stoked. His name is IkeMonday, March 23, 2009
